Dr. Maria Barahona is a valued veterinarian at Suwanee Animal Hospital.
Dr. Maria Barahona received her Doctorate or Veterinary Medicine from St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada. She received her clinical training at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Dr. Barahona received her Bachelor of Science from Berry College located in Rome, Georgia with a major in Animal Science and minor in Chemistry.
Dr. Barahona was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras but moved to the United States at the age of 2. She grew up in a bilingual household in Lawrenceville Georgia, and is fluent in both Spanish and English. She is interested in becoming a missionary veterinarian in the future and becoming involved with the humane society.
Dr. Barahona currently lives in Suwanee, Georgia. She has a shih tzu named Rocky, an orange tabby cat named Vincent, a domestic longhair tabby named Dwight, a rabbit named Lola and two female guinea pigs named Aleetria and Zendre. Her interests include cooking/baking, hiking, wakeboarding, and traveling.
